Vintage 1950s Kitsch Lusterware Mother & Baby Llama Ceramic Planter Japan, 6" X 4.5"

Up for sale is an incredibly charming, authentic 1950s mid-century kitsch novelty planter vase. This highly collectible piece features a whimsical, wide-eyed mother llama paired with her baby, decorated in a beautiful pastel blue stippled texturing. They are resting against a beautifully embossed, oversized blooming flower backdrop.
The interior of the planter is finished in a clean, bright lemon-yellow glaze. The underside is a clean, unglazed dry-foot base with no stamped markings, which is standard for Japanese imports of this era that originally bore paper foil labels.
